Rear Bumper LED Light Wiring:
The bumper LED light requires wiring to the vehicle loom. (Since OEM reverse light is removed)
Aftermarket Light wiring colours:
-
- Black – Ground
- Red – Main white light power
- White – Secondary light trigger
- Yellow – Indicator signal (if used)
- Green – Optional function (not used on all installs)
Example connection:
-
- Vehicle Black → Black
- Vehicle Red → Yellow
- Vehicle Blue → White
Third Brake Light Wiring
-
- Disconnect the OEM tail light connector
- Plug the adaptor into the tail light
- Plug the original vehicle connector into the adaptor
- This allows the brake light to piggy-back power from the factory wiring
- The brake light cable must be routed through the tailgate to the bumper.
- The wire will need to be passed through the factory tailgate grommet to reach the rear bumper.
